Roisín Coyle - The Ag. Science Teacher
Roisín is the creator of the website www.theagscienceteacher.com and an Instagram page @theagscienceteacher, creating resources and information for teachers and students alike. She has been delivering online grinds for many years and has seen excellent feedback and results from the students participating.
Roisin is an excellent teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching Biology and Agricultural Science. She has a unique knack in breaking down the difficult scientific concepts associated with Ag Science to make it manageable for students, allowing them to access the highest grades possible. Her sessions are interactive with many quiz elements and sections to ensure students remain engaged throughout the lesson.

Covered in this Course
2nd January – Strand 2 Soil Science
From soil formation and classification to the dreaded Nitrogen Cycle, this session will cover the key concepts of the soil strand. Recap the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of soil as well as the specified practical activities associated with this section.
3rd January – Strand 3 Crops
In this session we will revise plant physiology and break down the 3 key types of crops you need to know: food crops, catch crops, and grassland, looking at them under the lens of management, establishment, harvesting and preservation.
4th January – Strand 4 Animals
The final session will focus on all things animals! Get your head around Dairy, Beef, Sheep, and Pigs with in-depth revision of animal physiology, management, nutrition, and health
